Pastor Tim Rabon was born in Alabama. He was saved at the age of ten in a revival meeting, and following his salvation, he answered God's call to preach at age fifteen.  He came to minister at Beacon Baptist Church in July 1981, having earned a B.A. degree in Bible and Pastoral Training.

Prior to becoming Pastor in 1997, he served as Associate Pastor in the areas of bus, children, youth, and soul winning ministries. Pastor Rabon also earned an M.A. in Biblical Exposition in 1997.

He is presently the Senior Pastor of Beacon Baptist Church since November 1, 1997.  He and his wife, Sharon, have two sons and a daughter. Their two sons are married and both them and their wives minister at Beacon Baptist Church.  Since that time, God has blessed Beacon Baptist Church under his leadership seeing the attendance doubled during these years.  God continually blesses his ministry with souls saved, lives changed, and people developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pastor Rabon is truly a man with a heart for people.  As Pastor Emeritus Randy Cox has said over the years, "People are the work of God," and Pastor Rabon truly cares for the people here at Beacon Baptist Church.
