Thank you for taking time to check out what Friend Day at Beacon Baptist Church is all about!

Please take time to check out this video about Beacon Baptist Church.

Visiting anywhere for the first time can be a bit nerve-racking, much less if it is a church that you are not familiar with.  Probably you have a few questions in the back of your mind, and if you knew the answer to them it would allow you to feel more comfortable about visiting our church for the first time.  Here are a few questions that you might be wondering about.

Where are you located?

Beacon Baptist Church is located at 2110 Trawick Road, just off of New Bern Avenue.  For specific directions, please visit our Location page.

What time should I get there?
Our worship service will begin at 10:30 A.M on Friend Day.

What should I wear?
There is not a dress code at Beacon Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Beacon Baptist!

What should I expect when I arrive?
When you arrive at Beacon Baptist Church, you will find the main parking area located in the front of the building.  You will find parking attendants that will help and assist you in the parking lot.  As you enter our church, friendly greeters will assist you in getting every member of your family to their appropriate service as we have worship services for all ages.

What about my children?
We have services available for children of all ages.
  • Beginner Service (3 year olds)
  • Beginner Service (4-5 year olds)
  • Primary Service (1st-3rd grades)
  • Junior Service (4th-5th grades)
Once again, there will be greeters and ushers to assist you in taking your children to the proper room where their service will be held.
For more information about our children's services,

Is there a nursery available?
Yes.  We do have a nursery available for children ages newborn-2 years old.  Our nursery is a very clean and secure place to leave your children while you are enjoying the worship service.  If you have any questions about our nursery, please contact our Nursery Director.

What should I expect in the worship service?
This is our worship service for our teenagers and adults.  Our worship service always begins with Christ-honoring music and worship.  It is our practice to take up an offering in the worship service.  Please do not feel that you must give in this offering. Our church is supported solely upon the giving of our members, and we do not expect you as our guest to put any money in the offering plate.  Our services always conclude with a message that is based out of the Holy Bible.

We hope that these questions and answers have helped to already make you feel "at home" at Beacon Baptist Church.  Please make sure to join us for our Friend Day 2010 on April 25.  We hope to see you there!
If you have any other questions, please feel free to call us 919.872.2215 or you can send us your question by emailing us.
Thank you for taking time to check out our Friend Day and our church.  We hope that you will make Beacon Baptist Church a home for your family!
